Transformed and empowered leaders are critical to leading congregations to do God’s mission in the world in this challenging era in congregational life.
Hope Partnership for Missional Transformation offers leadership and ministry resources that help raise up these leaders and prepare their congregations for transformation.
For the first time, Disciples’ Hope Partnership for Missional Transformation, Presbyterian Church USA and United Church of Christ are collaborating to offer
New Beginnings Assessment Service jointly in a region. “Come and See” events are planned for Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, Texas over the weekend of September 13 to 14, 2014. Hope Partnership originally developed the New Beginnings service in 2007 to help congregations in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) make bold decisions about their future, and has recently contracted with PCUSA and UCC to extend the service to their congregations. Staff from all three offices will provide assessments, training and follow-up support to participating congregations.
Hope Partnership’s Matt Rosine explains,
“Our hope is that congregations across denominational lines will partner to serve their local communities, perhaps even by creating new ministries for the benefit of people in surrounding neighborhoods.”
Since its inaugural year, more than 500 congregations across the three denominations have benefited from the New Beginnings process.
There is no cost to attend New Beginnings “Come and See” previews, but Rosine encourages people to email him to RSVP for one of the events at mrosine@hopepmt.org. Read more information about the Texas events here and visit www.hopepmt.org/nb for more information about the New Beginnings service.
The purpose of Hope Partnership for Missional Transformation is to empower courageous leaders as they guide the Church into life-giving expressions of God’s mission. Hope Partnership for Missional Transformation serves transforming congregations and their leaders; nurtures leaders through coaching and peer support; and identifies, equips and supports leaders to plant new congregations.
