Hope Partnership and NBA team up on new Leadership Academy track

Leadership Academy 2014Registration closes on Sunday, August 24, 2014

More faith leaders want to launch new social-service ministries to benefit their communities, but they may not know how to start.

Hope Partnership for Missional Transformation and the National Benevolent Association are teaming up to create a special opportunity for “social entrepreneurs of faith” at Hope Partnership for Missional Transformation’s upcoming Leadership Academy from September 22 to September 26, 2014 in Indianapolis, IN that will help them make their vision a reality. The Social Entrepreneurship Track will offer participants an in-depth market analysis of the community these leaders seek to serve; time to develop a core mission, vision and strategic plan for the initiative; an opportunity to collaborate with other entrepreneurs; workshop options on fundraising, social media, leadership development, and much more.

Also designed for new church planters, pastors of transforming congregation, interim ministers and lay leaders, the Leadership Academy will feature preaching and empowering instruction from inspiring Disciples leaders, including General Minister and President Rev. Dr. Sharon E. Watkins, Rev. Marvin Owens, and former CC (DoC) General Minister and President Rev. Dr. Dick Hamm.

Registration closes on Sunday, August 24, 2014, but don’t worry, there is still plenty of room in Leadership Academy Tracks 1.0 and 2.0 (Advanced Cohorts). Spaces for the Social Entrepreneurship Track are limited though, so those who are interested should act quickly.

Serving as the health and social services general ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the National Benevolent Association partners with congregations, regions, general ministries, and a variety of Disciples-related health and social service providers to create communities of compassion and care.

Leadership Academy is an interactive learning experience that brings together leaders from across the denomination to share leadership experience, wisdom, and trainings. The conference is a five-day event hosted Hope Partnership for Missional Transformation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) since 2001.
