New church movement has new leader

Terrell McTyer, Minister of New Church StrategiesHope Partnership is pleased to announce that Terrell McTyer is joining the ministry as minister of New Church Strategies, effective August 1, 2016.

Terrell will have oversight for the recruitment, assessment and equipping of new church leaders and will be responsible for Hope Partnership’s Leadership Academy and other training activities.

Declaring that participation in Leadership Academy was transformative for him, Terrell felt called to start Manifestation Christian Center in the Kansas City area in 2014, which was recently named the 2016 Outstanding Mission Partner for restart Transitional Housing Facility via One STEP Worldwide Ministries.  Terrell is also the chair for the new church ministry effort for the Greater Kansas City Region, for which he developed a strategic plan for teaching, equipping and multiplying new pastors and churches and where he has been influential in helping several new churches begin to affiliate with the Disciples of Christ.

In addition, Terrell has been involved in music ministry, with professional experience in media, web design, marketing and event planning.

Bill Rose-Heim, regional minister and president of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Greater Kansas City, says of Terrell’s new position,

Terrell has a Master’s in Theology from Faith Bible College in Independence, Mo. He, his wife and four children will relocate to Indianapolis.
